Moisture voids the manufacturers warranty but most of the monthly payment 
ones from the carriers cover just about everything so I'd expect you to be

given a new phone. If they refuse, demand a refund of all the money paid
for 
the warranty and you'll probably have enough to just buy a new one on
ebay. 
The hinge issue is very common and they would be hard pressed to blame it
on 
moisture anyway but if you check your policy I think it covers everything 
except maybe disappearance.
And, yes, being a 12 year customer is VERY im****tant to them.
