Connecting PocketPC 2002 IPAQ 3870 device to Fido GPRS with Motorola L2

by lapointe34@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Aug 9, 2007 at 12:32 PM

Hi, I've read the topic "
Connecting PocketPC 2003 device to Fido GPRS with P280" the topic
helped, but I was still not able to dial in using my hone and ppc. I'm
using an Ipaq 3870 with Bluetooth and I'm trying use it connect to my
fido GPRS L2. I Bonded the Ipaq with the phone made sure, it was a set
as a Bluetooth modem and went into the connection settings and put>
Name for connection: GPRS> Select a modem>Bluetooth dialup modem>Baud
19200>Advanced> Data bits 8>Parity> None> 1>Flow Control Hardware, no
terminal options selected,TCP/IP> Use server assigned>Use Software
Compression> Use IP header Compression> and used dns server assigned>
Next> Country code: G, Area Code 514, phone number *99#>next Extra
dial-string: +cgdcont=1,"IP","INTERNET.FIDO.CA", then I'd click
finish, then ok. I'd try to connect and it would say network log on
then I'd type fido in both pass and user. It would show connecting,
followed by a long number my phone would show please wait it would say
not available and PPC 2002 would say no answer.
Anyways, Thanks for any help!
