Hello,
After 3+ years of reliable service, my Samsung 650 is conking out.
My question, directed solely to Verizon Wireless users who have purchased
a
phone within the last (at least) 3 months: What are your
thoughts/recommendations?
I need a new phone. I JUST need a phone. I do not want any optional
functionality. I do not need or want a camera, or anything else,
incor****ated within my phone. I have stand-alone equipment to serve all
of
these needs, thank you.
At the time that I got my 650, I had recently ended my tenure as a
"Customer
Service Technician" working at a Verizon Wireless store, actually employed
by Solectron (Solectron no longer exists; was bought out by
"Flextronics").
At that time, I knew, by explicit first-hand experience that the 650
worked,
and worked well. This was very unlike many of the other phones that were
on
the shelf at the time, there were well-known and persistent problems with
video displays, charging ****ts (especially for Motorolas!), radio
controllers, etc. Then, I knew what to look for. Today, I do not.
I also know that I cannot trust the salespeople that work on the floor for
an honest response. Nor the "technicians"
Any suggestions? I just want a PHONE that WORKS!
Thank you!
