UMTS relation between sps and bps

by "jimjim" <netuser@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 9, 2005 at 10:47 AM

Hello,

With reference to the UMTS are the following calculations correct?

A 384kbps channel (measured se RRC level) is transmitted as 320kbps over
the
air due to 20% puncturing (320*1.2=384). This channel of 320kbpsafter 1/3
convolutional decoding becomes 960kbps which is 480 ksps (2 bits/symbol).
So 6 channels of 384ksps are 6*384ksps=2304ksps
2304ksps/480ksps =4.8 nearly 5.
So 6*384ksps correspond to 5*480ksps channels.

TIA
