HSDPA and UMTS actually use the Wideband Code Division Multiple Access
(WCDMA)modulation but it is a different flavor than that used in EV-DO.
In fact I now see that there is a company planning to offer a PC card
that actually works with HSDPA, UMTS and EV-DO. You would need two
carriers.
