You're correct that the w755 main display is smaller.  That's mainly due
to 
the fact that the phone is more narrow then the V3m.  I hadn't noticed it 
though because the text and images are so clear.  I do notice that I have 
gotten used the size and heft of the V3m and the w755 feels small in my 
hand.  I expect I'll get used to that and forget about it, but we'll see. 
There are so many great improvements in the w755 that I wouldn't want to
go 
back to my V3m at this point.  The ability to turn on/off Bluetooth and 
toggle vibrate mode from the touch buttons on the front is just "killer" 
(does anyone say killer anymore?)
