scaling fixed point numbers

by raj <rajesh.obli@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 29, 2008 at 10:36 PM

Hai,

For my FIR design i am using 16-bit signed integer coefficients from
FDAtool instead of fixed point representation

i.e, I am scaling the values as

 0.05937194824218753891 * 65536 =3891..

whether the above scaling will alter the magnitude and phase response
i.e.,cutoff frequency, passband and stopband attenuation setted

regards,
raj
