Yes, but keep in mind that I don't need *any* of these
functions if I declare my variable and constant
vectors correctly in the first place.

I expect that it would take longer
to learn verilog well than to learn
the vhdl numeric libraries.
If Andy were here, he would remind you
that integer ranges also work fine for synthesis
and require no libraries.

It's a rose for easy projects, but just thorns for debugging
complicated modules with signed and unsigned math.
