You have mixed up a lot of concepts. Having a dual-core processor
doesn't mean that you have double the Mhz. So a 1.8Ghz doesn't become
3.6Ghz. Second it doesn't matter if you have a 32-bit or a 64-bit
version of Windows XP, they are both able to make use of dual-cores
without any problem.
So you really have no problem. If you don't believe me, then go to
Start->Run and type in "taskman" and go to the Performance tab. You'll
see two processor graphs there. It means XP is seeing both cores.
