An easier alternative,
- right click on the taskbar (long grey bar usually at the bottom of
your screen where the Start button and Time display are)
- select 'Task Manager' from the menu that pops up. Task Manager will
appear
- select 'Performance' from one of the tabs near the top of the Task
Manager.

I've had encountered numerous incidents helping people which involved
start->run and nothing happens. Guess why? =P
