thanks jesco, as well as my current onboard drivers, there are others
in the list, all of which are said to be working properly. should i
disable these other drivers? my os is xp pro by the way. when i say
test sound i mean that when you set up the speaker configuration it has
a play button and when clicked a short sound comes out of each speaker,
