rr.com is a nice way to start, particularly for loading digital trunk 
systems with many many talk groups
INVALUABLE when visiting a new area

Winxx on the other hand is a pleasure to use, with or without rr.com
One should not be dependent upon it, particularly if you are out in the 
field with just the handheld, but not to use it is a waste of time.

Once again, it's a question of relative value of your time.
