Could you elaborate a little more?  I'd grant that Pulsonix isn't the
fanciest 
package out there -- something like PADS is probably a better choice if
you 
have really good layout guys (uncommon) and truly challenging boards (also

uncommon) -- but Pulsonix is definitely a solid step above what I'd
consider 
"primitive" -- stuff like the free ExpressPCB package, possibly Marra's 
software (which I haven't actually tried, this is based strictly on
reading 
the do***entation on his web site), etc.  (Also note that I'm not making
any 
value judgment here -- something like Express PCB at "primitive features
over 
zero cost" is going to be much more valuable for some people than
something 
like PADS at "features out the wazoo but over huge cost.")
