 of it this way: if your 12V car battery has a cracking amps on the 
order of a few hundred amps, than how can a 4A power supply harm the
radio? 
You want as much a power supply as possible, within reason, to take care
of 
the peek transients, otherwise your radio may sound distorted at higher 
volumes. Its a car radio, not a high end amp, shouldn't be all that 
critical. Anyway, yes, a 4A power supply is better than a 1.5 amp power 
supply.
