Hello,
I am currently enrolled in computer engineering at university, and i
am in second year. I have decided that for an english project this
year i am going to write a feasibility analysis of a career in
computer engineering, comparing various entry options available for a
graduate student and ultimately recommending the best option.
I have chosen to do this subject as i feel it will help me get a
better idea of what kind of work will be available to me once i have
obtained this degree.
I have been looking around online for some information regards to what
types of jobs are available and what types of specialization can lead
me to these jobs. I have not really been able to find much
information, and was wondering if anyone could help me out.
Basically I am looking for the main fields/ areas of specialization
with a computer engineering degree and then specific jobs in each
specialization. I am then going to attempt to compare the jobs and
recommend one of them to a student who just finished his bachelors.
Some areas of specialization that i have found so far:
1) software engineering
2) Networking
3) Computer systems engineering
4) Telecommunications
5) VLSI Design
If anyone knows any websites that will tell me about the very basics
of some of these fields, and what types of jobs are available with
them, please let me know! Anything can help.
